The foremost goal of the Semiconductor Safety suite of courses is to help workers and supervisors understand how to stay safe and healthy on the job. The courses address general environmental, health and safety dangers, as well as the hazards inherent in specific fabrication processes. They also cover the precautions that employers and employees can take to control exposure to these hazards. Two of the most common dangers workers face result from the handling and storage of hazardous chemicals, and from working with and around hazardous energy such as electricity. These dangers affect not only the workers that use the chemicals or electrical equipment, but those that work near them, essentially anyone in the facility. What do you need to know about these hazards and what should you do in the event something goes wrong? These courses are ideal for everyone who works inside semiconductor fabrication facilities, regardless of their roles and job responsibilities.
