Medicare Advantage: Plan Benefit and Bid Package
A Medicare Advantage Organization (MAO) must describe the benefits included in each Medicare Advantage plan it offers. To do this, an MAO creates a plan benefit package (PBP) for each Medicare Advantage plan and submits it to CMS. This course covers the CMS definition of a benefit, how benefits should be designed to create a plan benefit package, and how to use the plan benefit package tool for creating a PBP.
