Electrical Arc Flash Awareness

Recognizing electrical hazards in the workplace is critical to ensuring worker safety. You need to know how and why electricity is dangerous so you can recognize when hazards are present. When electricity and other energy is uncontrolled, it can harm or even kill people. That is why we have lockout/tagout/tryout procedures to control hazardous energy. Take this course to learn about electrical hazards, what energy control procedures are and how they can be used to stay safe. Your employer may ask you to complete this training because you work where electrical hazards are present or where lockout/tagout/tryout is being used, or as part of their process for obtaining lockout/tagout authorization. This course is ideal for workers in general industry and construction work settings.

The eyes, face and mouth may be exposed to drips, splashes, and sprays of disease-causing, irritating, blinding or scarring corrosive, toxic and infectious materials. Someone's eyesight, general health, well-being and work future hinge on the speed of proper exposure response. Worker training and proper maintenance of eyewashes and emergency showers systems is critical. This course provides anyone who may need to use an eyewash or emergency shower with important information including how to spot neglect, resolve potential problems and use eyewashes and emergency showers safely and effectively. Ideal learners are any employees who may be exposed to chemicals.

Workplaces are designed to be relatively free from hazards. Hazards that cannot be eliminated are guarded to keep workers away. Workers wear their own form of guarding, or personal protective equipment (PPE), as a final layer of protection against workplace hazards. This course is ideal for all workers who use PPE.
