Drugs and Alcohol: Agencies and Laws (LBC)

The Department of Transportation is responsible for maintaining public health and safety through prevention of alcohol and drug abuse in the industries it regulates. This course, the first in a four-course series, introduces the laws and rules that affect employees of DOT-regulated industries, and the policies that result from those rules. Topics in this course include drug and alcohol laws, agency mandates, rules, and example workplace policies. After completing this course, learners will be able to recognize the agencies and laws that form the framework for employer policies on alcohol and drug testing.
