Corrosion Principles and Prevention (LBC)
This lesson explains the electrochemical process of corrosion and addresses ways to protect the pipeline from corrosion. After completing this lesson, learners will be able to identify how electrochemical corrosion takes place, and recognize methods for protecting the pipeline. Learners will recognize how coatings, casings, and cathodic protection are used, and be able to distinguish between galvanic anode and impressed current systems.
